ABOUT THE BLOGGER

So I’m a twenty-one year old college student hoping to get a degree in wildlife conservation. I’m technically morbidly obese and I accept that I can change this at any point in my life and have taken steps to do so. I don’t want to be thin, I want to be healthy and I have drastically improved my diet by eating more natural goods and have learned to prepare so many new dishes I would have never dared to try before.

I love animals and when I say that I mean I LOVE animals. I have three cats, nine bettas and two African dwarf frogs. I’ve always loved animals. When I was younger I used to bring home frogs, tadpoles, salamanders and even rescued a mole form a cats hungry jaws. For a while I even thought about becoming a veterinarian but I just could never bring myself around to the idea of actually putting an animal down. For me that’s unthinkable! Yes I have and would have an animal euthanized if it was in pain and I could do nothing to save it but I just couldn’t be the one to do it.

I like to think myself to be a very creative person. I love working with my hands to create something new. There’s just something about making an item and giving it to a person that makes me feel all warm inside. My current craft of choice is candle making but I’ve sown, gardened, made chocolates, ornaments, crocheted etc…

I love to write. Since I was little I’ve always loved books and writing. It wasn’t until I heard the first words of a tale written by Edgar Allen Poe did I ever really had the desire to write; Tales of horror and poems that frighten the imagination. He still remains an inspiration today and I would love to thank my middle school teacher for reading his tales to us. I can still picture myself drawing a red window with hands reaching up to it. Not that my drawings were ever good.

Music. Something I’ll always enjoy. From pop to rock to metal, I always enjoy to listen to music. For now my favorite bands are mostly not from the states, bands like Within Temptation, Kamelot, Nightwish, Epica, Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, etc…

I am a daughter, a sister, a girlfriend, a friend, a mentor and a human being. I love myself as much as I love those around me.
